EMMANUEL EMMAUS
OUTREACH MISSION PROGRAM
Purpose: The purpose of the Emmanuel Emmaus Outreach Program is to reach out to Churches that have not participated in the Emmaus 72 hour weekend. The Emmanuel Emmaus Community (EEC) would present the purpose of Emmaus to churches either in Small Groups or participating in the entire Worship service. It is the wish of the EEC that no one who wishes to attend the Emmaus weekend not be allowed to attend due to financial reasons or lack of sponsorship. The EEC will give scholarships to the first 2 people from a non-participating church. If a church has had a few people to experience the weekend and cannot financially sponsor other members in their church, they can request a scholarship for 2 people from the EE Board. Once the church has had the members to attend the weekend, the EEC has the obligation to help organize a reunion group if needed.
Requirements: The only requirement for the scholarship is that the EEC be allowed to present the Emmaus movement to the Church either in Small Groups or as a worship service. The presentation would consist of the showing of a DVD from the Upper Room and life changing testimonies from members of the Emmanuel Emmaus Community. The length of the program is close to 30 minutes.
Clergy Support: The Emmanuel Emmaus Community is to support Clergy in the church at all times. The EEC community would fill in for the clergy in time of emergency and the need of spiritual retreats. The EEC is here to handle any worship service for the Clergy with personal testimonies from Lay Persons relating to the Emmaus Movement.
If you know of a church and would like the Outreach Mission Program to contact them to set up a presentation, please contact Stefanie Robinson Any member of the EEC can also help you.
